KINMS 비전통해양안보전략연구소는 해양범죄, 사이버 공격, 마약 밀수, 이주·인신매매, 항만보안 등 새로운 해양위협에 대응하기 위한 연구·교육·국제협력 허브입니다. 정부·군·해경·항만공사와 협력하여 정책 제언, 전문 인력 양성, 시뮬레이션 기반 훈련을 제공하며, 동북아 및 인도·태평양 해양안보 네트워크를 구축하고 있습니다.

비전통해양안보전략연구소(KINMS)는 해양 영역에서 나타나는 사이버 위협, 해상 마약·무기 밀수, 불법 이주, 해적행위, 항만 기반시설 보호 등 비전통 안보 이슈를 종합적으로 연구하는 전문 기관입니다. 학계·정부· 민간·국제기구와의 협력을 통해 실효성 있는 정책과 현장 중심의 솔루션을 제시하고, 교육·훈련 프로그램을 통해 해양안보 전문가를 체계적으로 양성합니다.
